About us
LucyHi I'm Lucy! I live in Bidford with my husband and two daughters. I was lucky to have grown up in National Trust properties where my parents were the curator and administrator. My childhood gardens were Berrington Hall, Snowshill Manor, and later away from the National Trust, Hatfield House. I was fortunate to be given the freedom to play and explore in beautiful gardens at home and when we visited other properties. I learned from watching Linda, the gardener at Snowshill as well as my dad how to look after plants, weed beds and grow vegetables... and I definitely ate my share of carrots from the kitchen garden washed under the outdoor tap!
My favourite plants are crocosmia, red geraniums, nasturtium and ferns. I love the way reds and oranges in the summer compliment the green of the foliage and grass. I like to grow plants from seed and cuttings in my greenhouse and swap and share with friends and other gardeners. I find myself so lucky to be able to work in a variety of gardens, and even more so, to be doing it with my lovely friend Sally!

I am at my most happy when I’m outdoors just pootling in the garden. I have grown up surrounded by a family of keen gardeners and horticultural knowledge and curiosity has slowly seeped into my veins without me really realising.
My garden and allotment are filled with lots of different plants, fruits and vegetables. I love to discover new things, experiment with propagation and experience the pure joy of growing from seeds.
I am very lucky to have met another kindred gardening spirit in Lucy and really enjoy working with her. We make a great team.
